Scrubland transformation into a large family home

I’m a big believer in respectful development that honours the site and its surroundings. In this case, this redundant quarter-acre plot, in between two existing houses, required complete reinvigoration to give it a true purpose.

My experience in identifying suitable plots of land for investors and my reputation for adding significant value by securing excellent planning consent for clients led me to this fulfilling project – the opportunity to seek planning permission for a family home with existing highway access.

Successful new-build residential planning application management

The challenge was to secure a successful planning application for this large ‘forever’ family home.

We took advantage of new planning policies that supported opportunities to provide much-needed housing on previously unfeasible sites, and our strategy involved balancing comfortable modern living with an aesthetic that was in keeping with its semi-rural location and added value to the surrounding area.

Taking care in a tight-knit community

It soon became clear that equally as important as delivering a quality build was having a team with the local knowledge needed to sympathetically navigate the development alongside the local community.

The project involved overcoming land ownership clarifications and formalisation to lead it to success.

A win-win scenario for all stakeholders

Through the property development and project management team’s hard work, intensive review of local planning policies and design sympathetic to the local area, we achieved a successful outcome. Planning permission was passed without upset and gave investors a good return on investment.

We made a great effort to reassure our investors that their investment was in good hands by helping them understand the reporting requirements. A deep understanding and clear interpretation of planning policy, paired with good communication made all the difference.
